Service Pack 1
Service Packs add improvements and provide fixes to problems discovered by GMB and our customers. Note that the symptoms (problems) described below may not be experienced by your site. Many of these symptoms are due to a unique set of circumstances that your site may not experience. Not all of the 'fixes' are because of faults in the code; many are 'work-arounds' for problems found in network, operating system or database products used by GEM but not supplied by GMB.
GEM TC Service Pack 1 for Release 1.1.0 contains all corrections and improvements made to GEM TC v1.1.0 since its release. Corrections include fixes to address the following symptoms:
- The logon process may fail and show a "Type Mismatch" error message [Ref: F004]
Installation
Requirements
- Administrator privileges for the server where GEM-TC is installed.
NOTE: The installation will not be completed unless the user logs in as Administrator.
Setting up GEM-TC Service Pack 1
- Open the application GEMTCSP1.EXE and select the directory that contains the full install of GEM-TC. This directory is usually a sub-directory of the Gem directory.
You may select a different drive/path using the "Browse" button.
- After the installation directory is selected, click on the "Next" button, and the installation wizard will complete the copying of the files. You do not need to restart the server or any of its services after the installation of this Service Pack.
- The installation program creates an "Uninstall" entry in the "Add/Remove Programs" icon of the server's Control Panel. This may be used to remove this Service Pack and restore the original configuration of GEM-TC.
