GMB is
offering a free single user copy of RecFind Corporate 5.0 to all ARMA/RMAA/RMS
members as an introductory 'evaluation' system.
This evaluation copy includes all normal RecFind
Corporate functionality:

Records Management (Tracking, Requests, Barcode
Support, Retention, File Plan etc)
-
Electronic Document Management
-
Imaging
-
Workflow
It also includes the RecFind-Button, the RecFind
Import-Export Engine and the RecFind-File Filter.
Apart from being 'single-user' there are no
restrictions on the RecFind software. You can enter as many records as
you like, use all functionality and use it for as long as you like.
The complete installation will take approximately
thirty minutes, (depending upon the speed of your workstation).
It will also install a 'local' copy of MSDE,
Microsoft's SQL Server database engine. This is a restricted, evaluation
version only, and may not be used with other applications.

What Support do you receive with the RecFind
Corporate Evaluation Software?
Free 1-800 telephone support will be available when you are
installing the product however the installation process and
documentation has been designed to make it as easy as possible for you.
Online support will be available thereafter. You can find GMB's
online support service at http://www.gmbsupport.com/Support.
The version being installed is 5.0.0B. Note that we release update
service packs on our website, www.gmbsupport.com, and produce a new
release with new and improved functionality at least once (normally
twice) per year.
In addition to the tutorial that has been provided on the CD, all
installed GMB products have extensive context sensitive help. If in
doubt about what to do when using any GMB product, simply click the help
button or press F1.
Can you use this evaluation software in production
(as a 'Live' working system)?
Yes.
This evaluation software will not expire. You may continue to use
this software for as long as you would like to manage your records.
If you wish to upgrade this system to more users or to utilize other
GMB products, please contact sales
for a quote.
Do you need any other products to use the evaluation
software?
No.
A 'local' copy of MSDE, Microsoft's SQL Server database engine is
installed in the setup process. This is a restricted, evaluation version
only, and may not be used with other applications.

1. RecFind is the proprietary property of GMB
Knowledge Management Inc., (GMB). It is not public domain software. The
product will be supplied to you on the following terms and conditions,
and you should not apply for a copy of the RecFind Corporate Evaluation
Software if you do not accept these conditions. By requesting the
software and using it, you will be accepting the following terms and
conditions of the license agreement.
2. This software must be installed on one (1)
Personal Computer (PC) only. It may not be installed on a file server.
This license is not transferable.
2. Before you install the evaluation software ensure that
your system meets the minimum system requirements to run the evaluation software.
To use RecFind, you need the following:

IBM compatible, personal computer with a Pentium
or higher processor (or equivalent (i.e. Celeron, AMD, etc)

A hard disk or file server with at least 200MB
of free space

A mouse
-
A VGA compatible or better display (800 x 600
resolution)

A sound card and speakers (optional, required
for sound functionality)

64MB of RAM minimum (128MB recommended) Note:
Depending on operating system, additional RAM may be required. For
example, if using Windows 2000 128MB RAM is required as a minimum

Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP
3. If any previous versions of RecFind or any other
applications are installed on your computer be sure to back up your
entire computer and all its contents prior to installing the evaluation
copy.
