RecQuery is a multi-user, fat-client, client server inquiry tool that
can be used with RecFind-Corporate or RecFind-Professional.
RecQuery is the ideal low cost way to provide enterprise-wide access to
your corporate information store.
RecQuery accesses the RecFind-Corporate or Professional database via a
LAN or WAN.

- View, Access, Print and Copy (Save As)
- The ability to access, view, print and copy
(save as) all objects within the RecFind-Corporate or Professional
database including Metadata, paper records,
- Search Module
- View all captured information across the enterprise
by full text search (BOOLEAN engine for all standard Metadata), full
text search engine (ISYS option) for all attached electronic documents
or by SQL search screens dynamically built for user generated Extended
Metadata.
RecQuery enables an employee to search for, display and print all
information in the RecFind relational database. Search by any of a dozen criteria including:
File metadata,
Document metadata, Document attachment (electronic document)
names, Document attachment text [ISYS add-on], Space metadata, Box
metadata and Workflow Actions (To Do Lists).
- Global Search
- The Global search module allows a user to
search across multiple RecFind databases. It also allows him/her to
search across the Metadata of all RecFind profiles (File, Document and
Box).
- Security
- Access control is based on RecFind-Corporate or
Professional's security codes. The results returned from searches are
dependent on the user's security level. For example, a user with the
highest level of security will see the entire set of data returned.
Whereas a user with a lower level may see only a subset of the data.

To use RecQuery, you will require the following:
- IBM compatible, personal computer with a
Pentium or higher processor (or equivalent (i.e. Celeron, AMD, etc)
- A hard disk or file server with at least 200MB
of free space plus an additional 150MB for the installation process
- A mouse
- A VGA compatible or better display (800 x 600
resolution)
- A sound card and speakers (optional, required
for sound functionality)
- 64MB of RAM minimum (128 recommended) Note:
Depending on operating system, additional RAM may be required. For
example, if using Windows 2000 128MB RAM is required as a minimum
- Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP
- GroupWise 6.5 specific requirements - Novell
client installed and configured + GroupWise client installed and
configured.
- Exchange 5.5 specific requirements - Outlook
client installed and configured
